Even singles can have fun on Valentine’s Day. Here’s a list of alternative activities.

Alone this Valentine’s Day? Are you anti-Valentine? Don’t look at this Sunday with trepidation; there are plenty of ways for you to enjoy this weekend.

  1. Do you love the thrill of haunted houses but get bummed when the Halloween season passes? Great news for you! Several haunted houses throughout Texas open up for Valentine’s Day! A crowd favorite, Cutting Edge in Fort Worth, will be open evenings from February 12-14. Check it out if you’re looking to be chilled to the bone.
  2. Not into getting scared? Throw an anti-Valentine’s Day party with some close friends! Celebrate your independence and friendship instead of all that love mumbo jumbo. Heck, you could even get a heart pinata to smash open.
  3. Trying to get into the dating scene but don’t know how? Consider joining Tinder. With a few swipes, you could spark up a pleasant conversation with someone and really hit it off. Maybe you won’t end up alone on Valentine’s Day after all if you’ve been saving up some legendary pick-up lines.
  4. Hit the gym! Instead of staying home depressing yourself by gorging yourself with assorted chocolates while you lay in bed crying watching “The Notebook”, workout and love your body. Get that smokin’ hot bod to make your ex jealous that you’re no longer theirs.
  5. Just forget the day even exists! Carry-on with your Sunday as you would any other day. Don’t make a big hoopla out of the day and I wouldn’t advise you to get on social media for the day. You do you.

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, don’t forget to love yourself and love life!
