Ed Sheeran thrilled a packed house Saturday night at Toyota Stadium in Frisco.

“This is officially the biggest concert I’ve played in the United States.”

Ed Sheeran electrified the crowd Saturday night at Toyota Stadium in Frisco. After the crowd’s initial screams started to die down, Sheeran immediately appealed to the Texas crowd with his comment that everything really is bigger in Texas.

Following Sheeran’s song “Lego House” he confirmed that none of his performance was pre-recorded. Throughout the entire show he played alone without a band, switching guitars after every song. Each guitar was marked by a different colored “X” to go with his new album entitled “X”.

Sheeran thrilled the crowd when he rapped his next song “Take it Back” and followed the number speaking about his past life in England in a small farming town. He warmed the crowd’s hearts with his humbleness, sharing how blessed he felt to be now performing for such huge audiences.

During the entire concert, Sheeran kept the crowd engaged by requesting them to jump and sing along at certain parts during his songs.

In the middle of the performance, one of the opening performers, Christina Perri, came out on stage to sing her song, “be my forever”, with Sheeran. Perri’s and Sheeran’s voices melded well for a harmonious duet.

As Sheeren concluded his show, he noted that that was “technically his last song”. Immediately after he left the stage the crowd roared for an encore. Sheeran was determined to have the crowd and himself lose their voices and ended with a long encore that kept the crowd hooked until the very last note.
